Hi everyone! So my 1 year old daughter's paternal grandma decided to give my baby two chicks this past Easter! :( I have no idea how old they are, what kind of chicks they are, or even how to take care of them! I found this site while googling and the knowledge on here is easy to understand and the people seem friendly. Instead of getting rid of my chicks, I've decided to try to raise them! Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated! Mahalo and aloha!

head for the Learning Center and then you can branch out to fit your needs re: new chicks, brooders, coops, etc.

! Great to have you here! Chicken keeping is quite easy - the proper food, water, and warmth and your chicks are taken care of! Peruse the Learning Center below - the various tabs within it will tell you what you need to know to be successful with your poultry. Also see the Raising Baby Chicks forum - it is Q & A but the old threads are very informative! Good luck to you!

Thank you! I just went over there and it seems like so much to learn! I'm excited about this new venture although I did request that the grandparents never gift us with live animals without talking to us first! Here's a picture of "meat" and "chika" :p
