(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I started raising wild chickens I used to catch in middle school and then got more into egg layers, bantams, OEG as I got older. Now I am 25 and just getting back into it after about 5 years of not having any.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have a small backyard set up with a half dozen leg horns, 2 serama pairs, and 3 muscovy ducks.
I love raising all kinds of chickens. I like to always have a good assortment to the birds I raise.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I was always into animals as a kid. I enjoy the breeding process and raising my own birds from when they are hatched.
Just getting back into it so joining the forum to see what is out there, and to learn more from everyone! Hope to meet some people from hawaii as well!
