"Alpha Hen" built us a roost!!!!

Decided my 2 week olds needed something to do in the brooder so I built them a little roost -

The largest BLRW "Quiche" was first to try it out - - I bought 3 BLRW's from a local breeder

and they were straight run of course.......have a suspicion this one is a roo - just a feeling - no

real reason other than it looks a bit different in the face and seems to have 'watch over the flock'

behaviors already - - time will tell.....

"Custard" Splash BLRW was next - - she even took a little nap up there!

"Frittata" SLW came along to say " HI! (waving) Mind if I join ya?"

"Jemima" Black Astralorp says..."This one is just right!!!"

I will have to try a roost in my brooder this year.

I am happy to see photos of young BLRW to get an idea of what they look like at that age. I have three pullets (with a replacement guarantee) coming from a local breeder in early April.
