I have been watching these two chicks grow, telling myself that eventually it will be obvious what they are. Except my patience doesn't go until then, apparently :lau

Can anyone tell me what breed these two are? They are bantams from TCS's "Assorted" bin. When I got them, I also got what I figured out were gold Sebrights... these chicks had opposite markings (orange with black). I thought they were all the same breed. They still have thay upright, stiff tail and are small... But they definitely don't look like the Sebrights anymore.

They aren't standing naturally on my knee... those photos are from when we banded them on October 12th. The other photos of them in the coop are from this week. They don't have names yet, so they can be distinguished by their bands - Purple/Blue and Purple/Green :)

Also, if you have an idea on gender, let's hear it! Purple/Green was far less photogenic in the coop shots because the new D'Uccle rooster completely ignored their pushy behaviour. So I was thinking Purple/Green is possibly a cockerel?

For comparison with a Sebright -

Those are Belgian Bearded d’Anvers! The purple/green one is Quail colored with way too much Buff, and the other one looks to be Buff Colombian. Both are pullets.
Here’s a Quail d’Anver hen of mine:

Holy heck!! I was wondering about the bit of beard/muff! That is amazing, thank you so much! I got a blue Barbu D'Uccle cockerel, thinking how nice he would look with my two blue OEGB pullets... But I guess these girls will be his, too!
