Altering eggs

Tempting but would like to stay with non poisonous plants.
The only part of the plant that is poisonous, is the roots, and they can be deadly.
The leaves are fine if you cut out the veins and parboil them once (bring to a boil for 15 mins then drain) then cook them. If you're lazy like me and leave most the veins in the leaves, you want to parboil them twice before cooking.
The roots are poisonous but the red veins and stalks are FULL of vitamin B12. If you get more than you're used to, it can cause upset stomach, sweating, and nausea. The berries are just about pure B12 and if you only eat one or two per day, you're fine. You can also make an arthritis tonic from them by making wine of them, but only take 2 or 3 teaspoons per day. If you eat a big bowl of the greens it will also give your little lady a sore kitty, and you will walk around with wood for a couple of days.
With a little research, poke salad is safe to consume (never eat the roots) and super mega delicious! But make sure of what you're eating, and how to prepare it, like with any wild food.
Disclosure: Eat at your own risk and only if you are certain of what you're doing. Always consult an expert if in doubt. After properly cooking poke, try only a few fork fulls for the first hour till you determine that you have in deed cooked it properly, that you aren't allergic to it, and if you should get wood for more than 4 hours that the little lady can't handle, go to the ER for help. If there aren't enough nurses on staff or they begin to complain of soreness , report to the local house of Ill repute. There should be enough professionals to last you till the poke wears off.:lau

Adding paprika to the feed will turn the yolks orange. When I experimented with it they were pretty. The eggs tasted the same. I notice that my eggs are more mild tasting than store eggs because they are so fresh. Store eggs are typically more than 60 or even 90 days old. To me they have strong sulfuric quality to the taste and smell that my fresh eggs definitely don't have.

that is what I was referring to when I said our chicken eggs had a mild taste, for some reason it was taken by some as a negative.
