Alternative feeding methods for chics

Is anyone feeding their chics anything other than commercial feed?

I currently feed sprouts, fodder and scraps to the layers and they no longer eat commercial feed. Would love to do the same for the chics.

Yea I've read through that one. No one really touched on feeding chics though.

Oh OK I did read this in one of the magazines that I follow:

Chick feed:
mashed boiled eggs
milk
oatmeal
ground grains like cracked corn or wheat

mix it all up and serve only enough for them to eat so it doesn't get moldy from day to day (put fresh out twice a day for them)
