I had some problems getting mine in at first, too. We have a safety light right next to their run, so they would huddle up outside the door and try to sleep. I would go out there and pick them all up to put them inside. Then, they started huddling up the in the doorway. Finally, for about 4 nights in a row I began to place them on their roost to teach them where they needed to sleep, and apparently that was more comfortable cause they all started doing it. Now that I've added more chicks to the mix, they follow the example of the older birds. Remember that your chickens don't have a mama hen to teach them what they're supposed to do, so you may have to put them on their roosts for a few nights till they get the idea.
