Hi, I am running my first batch of eggs through my new Janoel 12 incubator. On the manual, it tells me that temps for chickens should be 38.2 C from days 1-6, 38 from 7-14, 37.8 on day 15 and 37.2-37.5 on days 16-21. I have always been taught 99.5 F the entire time and am a bit skeptical of ever running my eggs (they're faverolle bantams btw) through 95 F and fewer temps. I am on day 15 and the embryos are doing great. Should I follow this recommendation or stay at 99.5?

I have a Janoel 12 that I have yet to hatch with although have run it to check how well it holds temp & humidity. Their instructions are really confusing but common sense prevails. I've also learned 99.5 - 102.0 for temp depending if its Still Air or Fan. I would continue as you are but watch your humidity.

I'm new at this but have done a ton of reading, the experienced will peep in with their knowledge & I'll be watching.

Actually 99.5 = 37.5. So if you were following their recommendations you should have run the incubator warmer earlier in your incubation cycle
