Does anyone know of a cross that fleshes out as well as a cornish rock cross-but isn't genetically engineered to basically begin to fall apart after x amount of weeks?
I do have an orpington x cochin cock being bred to rock and sussex hens, but I doubt that the chicks are going to turn into those nice, plump birds that make you salivate just looking at them-though they are starting to show some potential, but they probably won't flesh out until 5-7 months of age. I'm looking for something that will have a decent carcass at about 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 months.
