Well, I guess IDK what to do about them. Maybe some test breedings when they are old enough to see if its reproducible.

They are about 10 weeks or so now, I think. It absolutely doesn't bother them. I doubt molting will affect it, as the feathers are on the end of a small, fleshy nub, and that isn't likely to go away. They are fully functional wings though, attached to some otherwise gorgeous chicks.

It seems very similar, but these are fairly long feathers, and more than one. Maybe I can find a photo online of that.
