I thought Id check on here before using. And Im not even sure its bumble foot yet. I just noticed tonight that my BA was limping and I checked the foot that was bothering her and
it is swollen with a nice lump there. So tomorrow Im going out to soak and see what I can see. But if I do have to lance I was wondering if I could use the Alushield on her foot.
Its a water-resistant aerosol bandage made from aluminum powder.

just wanted to ask before using.

thanks

I don't think it's going to hold up for the chicken walking on it. I use Alushield on the horses and dogs for abrasion or stitched up/stapled type wounds.

With the bumble foot, I would lance it, get the infection out--pack it with neosporin ointment or I use Neo-Predef powder, cover with gauze or Telfa, then I vet wrap.

Im going to be working on her today, anybody know if I can use this stuff? I dont see why not.
Has anybody used the stuff?

thanks

Thanks Ryu, I wondered if many people knew what it was. I was thinking about using it with some cotton and vet wrap. Vet wrapping a chicken foot ought to be alot of fun, compared to vet wrapping horses. LOL
