Always had an issue with her rear

    So this hen is not yet a year. As a chick she always had a poopy butt. We gave her plenty of probiotic as well as had her on the appropriate age food. She is one of five and no issues with any of the others. Most the time her stool is normal with an occasional loose one here or there. Her feathers are all gone and her back area lots pitiful. What would you recommend? [​IMG]

    The constant poopy vent can cause skin irritation, but she looks like she may have been feather picked by one of the others. I would check her skin especially near the vent for signs of lice or mites. You could also try treating her for worms, and look up vent fleet. Valbazen 1/2 ml orally then repeat in 10 days is best for worms.
