Am having 1 rooster 5 chicken. In pecking last order hen ran and got injured in eye and died y/day. Close rooster today not ate food and dies today

Am having 1 rooster 5 chicken. In pecking last order hen ran and got injured in eye and dies yesterday after noon.
Today rooster didnt had food and dead in the after noon.
Is it the love memory

A rooster may be a bit sad after a hen dies, but he usually will not die from being sad.
I think he died from some other problem, not because he loved the hen who died.

I second @NatJ and @sourland -- your rooster may have been sad about the hen, but that's not why he died.
Was there anything else amiss with him recently?
