Am I a boy with a girls name?

This is Snow white. She/he/it was named by the kids, she/he/it is belived to be an Americana Leghorn mix. The family I got "it" from said one of their hens went missing and they throught a fox got her...... a few days later walking out of the woods was mom and "3 fuzzy golf balls". It is such a GORGEOUS! bird The wife said it laid. The husband said he was not sure and the kids asked me if i was going to eat "her". "She has not laid since being here but the other two I got with "it" has. I LOVE this bird I want to keep "it" however I just dont want 2 roos again. So pleaee let "it" be a Snow white and not snow man

They are staying in the coop today........not up to chicken chaseing (2 of the news ones dont want to go to bed at night) I hope cooping them will teach them where the bedroom is at.

Those red patches on wings? They're rooster feathers on a white bird like this.. If you look closer, you will see a lot of super shiny and pointy feathers in these red areas. Also should find a few/a lot of long shiny pointy feathers on neck and saddle area by tail, can be hard to see if white on white but if you handle him and lift up the feathers, it will become obvious.

Gosh, your Snow Man is a gorgeous bird! He's ALMOST prettier than my rooster. He'd make really cute babies, as Hangin Wit My Peeps said. Too bad you can't keep him.

I think you should keep him. Why not have 2 roos? I have 3, and two of them are out in the yard together all the time. But yeah, he's a he for sure. Very lovely!!!!

so snow man it is.. Its not that I dont want two roos it that my chickens are city chickens and its a nosie thing. In the past I have had two roosters and I have found beer bottles and cans and rocks thrown in my yard They are better than any watch dogs I have had they would alret to anything!


I called the family I got snow man from... they said he was the only one out of the 3 " fuzzy golf balls" that did not crow.... We worked it out..... they will give me another leghorn hen that just started laying and I will give them Nigel my red roo. He is a sweet guy but he is no snow man.

Do you guys think he is just a white Americana with tan markings or Americana with Leg horn mixed in?
