Except I'm a lazy chicken stalker. If it's pouring rain or cold outside, I don't go out there to watch, just to check for eggs 5 or 6 times a day.

Everytime I'm in close proximity to other chickens, I check them out. Watch them. Even look in the nest boxes, lol! Maybe even a serial stalker!!

For over a week now I've had an ongoing mystery called, "Who's flinging the fake eggs out of the nests?" Since I didn't have to work yesterday morning, I stalked my chickens. It resulted in catching the suspect red handed: it was my EE who actually laid her first green egg but only after she flung golf balls out of 3 different nesting boxes.

Okay, just back from trying, for the upteenth time, to catch my pet quail laying her egg. I know about what time that she lays but have never seen one drop! Tonight I got there just in time to see it right after the fact and her catching her breath standing over it.

Someone say chicken stalker? Well for shame, I wouldn't dream of being one!

i got 32 minutes of video of my ee fluffing her nest.... ran out my battery, so i ran to the house for the spare one, when i got back to the coop, there was a pretty green egg waiting on me =/
