I can't help you on the gender, but my 3 week old frizzle cochin is much more frizzly. Seriously. The feathers are curling to the extent that the tips are pointing the oppisite direction of how they grew out.

It looks like someone attached her/him with a little curling iron.

Are there different levels or amounts of frizzle?

I have 3 - 3 wk old cochins and only one got the frizzle. But all 3 also have considerably more feathers on their feet then the one you have here. I am not saying anything by it, just giving you information because I don't really know how it goes.

Yes, it's a red frizzled, and it's looking like a hen, but I'm not for sure on the part.

I can't really tell if it's a frizzle or not, either - but like RobbingPeter's, my red frizzle cochin pullet is a lot more frizzly, too. Here is a photo from about 3 weeks ago - I need to get updated pics - she's even more frizzly now.

lol my red frizzle in question is from ideal poultry so it probably wont be as good lol and its around 3 weeks old
