It's either a hatchery type Buckeye or one of the new types of Easter egger. I have no idea which one, though.

And yes, it is definitely, 100% a cockerel. He's pretty handsome whatever he may be.

I'm sorry you got another cockerel. That is a bummer.

Wahnt whant whaaaa so so many extra cockerels. Pretty confident in everyone now which has me at 7 & 7 - truly my luck!!

Unless you bought them sexed that is what you would expect, half and half. You could process the boys or re-home them. That many cockerels would be a burden on you and your pullets.

There is another post that just came on with a Buckeye cockerel that looks very much like the one posted here. So I think that is what he is. His comb is a little weird, but they aren't all perfect.

The Dominique you are referring to I hope is the barred rock male I ordered - thought they seemed like good Roos from what I read. Now with plenty of extra Roos out of what should have been pullets - idk which I will eventually keep.
The speckled Sussex? Which do you think those are? I got 6 labeled sapphire gem pullets from Atwood’s. Know the labeling is not always accurate now. Do you think those are speckled Sussex? I’ll have to look them up. One was almost white - thought it was a cool off colored one. Turned out roo. Still kinda one of the more interesting ones personality wise too.

Here are a few more pics showing the 6 so called “Sapphire Gems”. I believe 4 are pullets and the 1 white one and the 1 obvious grey one are the only 2 Roos out of that bunch.
