Am I a rooster?

Crowing hens do happen. Sometimes it's because there isn't a roo present. Sometimes it's a hormonal thing. Friends who have had chickens longer than I told me of a hen they had with huge spurs who laid huge eggs. I think you have a rooster but if it lays an egg its a hen. when you bought them were they labeled pullets or straight run
Correct. Although this isn't a hen. It's not even a pullet. A bird at this age with male saddling and crowing...I think we can safely say it's a cockerel. Yeeees.

I'm sorry to say it but there is approximately 0% chance of it being female.
I wouldn't break out the eggboxes just yet.

They were labeled pullets at Tractor Supply but I understand that's not 100%...
know I feel scared about my 4-week old RIR pullets. I just got them 4 weeks ago and they were labeled pullets fingers crossed that they are all pullets
