Am I Adopting a Rooster?

Still a boy - how is he treating his hens and YOU? Is he a GOOD rooster?

He hasn't moved in yet. Just recently stopped sleeping under mama's wing and is suddenly being tormented by his pop and the rest of the flock. My good friend who hatched him says he is super docile and lets them pick him up and wants to be cuddled...I know, weird for a rooster. She thinks he is afraid or majorly intimidated by his dad as he is and has been the only rooster in the flock. I told her when I first suspected he was a roo that I would take him as my 3 girls could use a roosters watchful eye. He is just a little mutt and he isn't beautiful but he needs a home. I don't think his dad is going to tolerate sharing his ladies. Thoughts?
