Am I allowed to have chickens

    I live in bakersfield ca 93313 on stine and Harris and I was wondering is it legal for me to have chickens

    You might want to join the California thread and ask there but, otherwise it's best to go to your city or town hall and find out in person. Some folks choose to have "stealth chickens," under the radar. Unfortunately there is always a neighbor that feels she must turn them in . So I don't advise that.
