Absolutely, thatās why I keep my right eye closed when they get on my shoulder. They donāt like the left side for some reason.Just a word to the wise: having chickens up by your face is a hazard to your eyes.
I think they see up close out of their left eye. Their right eye (IIRC!) is for watching for aerial predators.Absolutely, thatās why I keep my right eye closed when they get on my shoulder. They donāt like the left side for some reason.
As much as I love like only give them air kissesI meanā¦I read a news article once telling people to stop kissing their chickens because they could get salmonellaā¦so youāre probably good![]()
Honestly I think that article was nonsense. People get poop on their hands then eat without washing them and get salmonella. I think my husband got it from cleaning the fish tank then having a cigarette when we had frogs. As much as I love like only give them air kissesI take all that seriously, aināt got time to get sick!
kissing a chicken seems way less of a risk for getting sick compared to eating undercooked meat, but I rather not chance it though.Honestly I think that article was nonsense. I have no idea why the writer of the article thought chicken-kissing was causing some kind of epidemic. It was silly.
The frogs came with a warning about salmonella so it wasnāt really a surprise. Just a really hard way to learn a lesson lolkissing a chicken seems way less of a risk for getting sick compared to eating undercooked meat, but I rather not chance it though.
Sorry your husband got sick before, you gotta be careful after handling any animal it seems.
