Am I doing a mating dance?

Okay, so I have a single goose about 5 months old raised with a duck.
Goose is still a love and sometimes I run around the yard playing with him/her. He really likes it when I put my arms out and flap them - he then will take his turn chasing me while flapping.

It just occurred to me that I could be confusing the poor baby. Somebody please tell my that my actions aren't a "come on over for a good time" dance.

Seriously. I love my fowl but not in *that* way.

I had a tame tom turkey who used to allow me to fondle his snood. One day I googled "snood" and discovered it was part of the male turkey's sexual display. I still feel shame.

Yep - that could be a great pick-up line for bold ladies.

*Woman walks up to man in bar*
"Hey, honey. Can I fondle your snood?"

*Man looks confused*

(Of course, some men would go along with it even though they didn't have a clue, just assuming they had found a sure thing.)

I googled Snood myself and although it isn't a sexual organ per se, the hens tend to prefer the big-snooded jakes. And other jakes are intiminated by a big snood.

Who says that people and turkeys don't have things in common.
