Am I feeding them too much or too little?!

We leave out a big feeder, don't know how many gallons, and fill it every few days or something like that. They have a nice green yard with long field grass in it. We don't give them food or water during the night.

I feed my ducks two large bowls of food a day between 7 of them. They forage and have plenty of fresh water which I change daily. They are in little houses at night and have no food or water. Go by their condition, if the look well and healthy they are getting enough. An elderly duck breeder told me that we tend to overfeed, all our animals these days and I agree. Look how many horses are fed on concentrated feeds when their natural diet is quite poor grassland. This can lead to obesity and attendant illnesses. Remember that starter crumb, growers pellets and layers pellets are very concentrated sources of nutrition. I think you are doing fine.
