am i going to incubate correctly????

I went over to Incubating & Hatching & for some reason can not find what i am looking for..... we are into day 21 ( have been on day 21 for 2 hrs 50 mins ) i see no pipping or zipping & the humidity is at 65%..................... how long do we leave them to hatch before we see if there are any that are going to make it??? i am the worry wart here & have no clue... i hate to know that there is a possibilty that even though we made it this far with so many that there is a chance that they wont hatch

should i worry yet & if not when do i start to worry????

ok we are still on day 21 ( for about 2 more hrs ) then we will be on day 22....... one baby has piped but the membrane that ison it still has LOTS of red veins.... why is this??? & i can hear atleast 1 more chick trying to pip through.... how long do i give them before they are most likely dead????

The veins will only dry up just before the chick hatches, trying to get the chick out now will probably cause it to bleed to death, also the yolk won't be absorbed yet. It can take a up to 24 hours after the chick has pipped for it to hatch. Keep the humidity about 60-70% and they should be fine with no help.

am i supposed to just leave it go even if the membrane that has the veins on it looks like it is drying out or is that what it is supposed to do???

Yes just leave it, hatching takes time. All of mine have pipped very late on day 21, or even day 22 or 23. They seem to take around 24 hours to hatch after first pip. There is a lot going on inside the egg, the final stages (once they zip) seem to be quite quick. Good luck, try to keep busy and don't open the incubator or intervene in the mean time Hopefully you have wee fluff balls soon!

I am going into lockdown tomorrow night!!! So excited... Hopefully yours turn out well and they hatch. Let Mother Nature run her course and try not to intervene...
