Am I losing my mind or did my EE lay a blue egg?

She's a beauty. What and how old is the bird to the right of her in the first picture ?

When my Ameraucana laid her first egg I was surprised because I felt she also had no comb/wattle development. If you have other pea comb birds it's possible you have one that laid this surprise egg even though she doesn't have a huge red comb.

Mine lay blue and green I don't know which one lays which but I get the two colors alot

She is also an EE. I miscalculated by a week and some change, so she is 15+3 weeks old. She seems really immature to me

A green egg is a blue shell with a brown coating....
...sometimes the brown coating changes in darkness, or gets missed altogether.

Enjoy those blue eggs! I have several EEs and they each lay different hues of blues and greens.

Egg color changes throughout the year for my Easter eggers they usually lay olive eggs but in the spring they always start out blue

So the other EE is 18 weeks old? It’s possible she started early! I think one of mine started at 20 weeks. That said, her comb is very pale. The comb and wattles usually get red before they lay. That Wyandotte’s comb looks super red so I would guess she is laying or will be soon. But she looks well bred to me so I don’t think she is mixed but I don’t know much about Wyandottes. That does seem like quite a drastic change for one bird though but I suppose it is possible. Besides color, are they a similar size and shape?
