Am I losing my mind or did my EE lay a blue egg?

A green egg is a blue shell with a brown coating....
...sometimes the brown coating changes in darkness, or gets missed altogether.

Egg color changes throughout the year for my Easter eggers they usually lay olive eggs but in the spring they always start out blue

Usually it's the opposite...at the beginning of laying cycle in spring the brown coating is heavier(at least after the first few eggs) then will fade at varying rates as the season progresses.
