Am I nuts?

Awww, husbands always say stuff like that.
Mine thought I was nuts to sneak in two more chicks after I said I was only going to have 6.

Now HE dotes on them and if I'm not careful, will take over the whole chicken project.

I completely cleaned out my coop yesterday. the whole bleach, scrub with a brush, hands and knees, got the hose, cleaning. I remembered this thread. I thought to myself after I was all done and hadn't put anything back in yet, it smelled totally normal no chicken smell what so ever. and I have the nose of a blood hound! It can be done I suppose, but you won't want to!!

But that sort of thing is encouraged at BYC.

Also got a dremel for a gift. I used to ask for jewelry and tools; then learned to make my own jewelry so now I just ask for more tools! My cordless drill/saw set was the only thing I needed to make my 8' x 8' coop all by myself!

My wife had begged me for a big garden shed for years.

I got her the shed and then asked her if I could have a coop.

The shed is filled with chicken feed, a box of egg cartons, DE, oyster shells, temp chicken housing, and a couple of large bags of pine shavings.

Oh, I also have the lawn mower, some tools and some rat poison. She says she still didn't get her garden shed... hmmm.... guess she's right.

but we love our chickens,

I told hubby the same thing about our coop, if it didn't work out we could always use it as a garden shed ( or another shop for me )
and it seems like most of the ladies on here get power tools for gifts, ( hubby gets the house hold stuff and I get the power tools )

chickens are like chips, you can't have just one
