Chickens eat a lot. I don't know what it would be in cups and generally you don't measure animal feed in cups since different feeds will weigh different amounts and require different volumes per animal. Sometimes even from one bag to another a feed can vary enough they'll need to eat more or less of it. You can't really over feed. You can have excess waste but you can't have your chickens eating too much. You can feed them too much of something besides poultry feed and have them get fat on treats and table scraps but if it's a balanced healthy food item they can't eat too much of it. They should have a poultry feed available 24/7 with no limitations and what they eat is what they need. If you feel you are putting out too much look at what isn't going into a chicken instead of how much is.
