am I *REALLY* a rhode island red? pictures

She'll likely be a reddish bird, of some heritage. Wait and see. Most reddish birds look similar at that age. A purebred RIR would usually be darker. Also, unless the lighting did it, the legs of an RIR are a nice yellow in color. Time will tell.

Those cinnamon queens do look an awful lot like my new chick! Good thing she looks like a girl...

one thing i did notice speaking of leg color is it has the wrong leg coloring to be any of these breeds...anyone else notice the leg color

do you know were the farm supply store gets their chicks? could help narrow down the possablities

That is a really good picture of her too. The coloring in the picture is pretty accurate to the bird (at least on my screen). No, I am not sure where they get their birds. Sorry

its just the leg color throwing me off other than that i would say its a cinnamon queen. i cant find any other chicks that look like that

Her legs may not be quite as pale as the picture, but maybe slightly more pink or salmon colored. Here are a couple more of her. They definately are not orange or yellow.

i know but some hatcheries such as cackle sell them differently since they all look different they give the option of cinnamon queens, red stars, golden commets, or just a reg red sexlink. they all might be red sexlinks but they all turn out differently and come in different colors
