Am I really getting my first eggs or is someone pulling my leg?

There must be more than one laying. I collected a total of nine eggs today. The first seven that have been there for who knows how long--made into breakfast to last three days. Then buffy went and laid one that cracked this afternoon. I fed it to the dog. THEN at bed time, I found another egg in the layers of corn stalks and garden debris i pulled out for them (destroyed from the tropical storm last weekend). So, buffy can't lay two in one day right?
