ok these guys are now 4 weeks and getting big....and i believe its getting easy to see the difference between the genders...am i right in thinking i have only one pullet out the whole lot?? (first 2 pics are my suspected pullet)

i was afraid someone was gonna say that...what makes you think that if you dont mind me asking?
'her' legs are as chunky as the others but she's so much smaller...like you say maybe just slow developing......

im pretty sure this breed make good 'meat' chickens so suppose i better not get attached

Just curious . . . .

. . . with Chickens is there a statistical percentage of genders ?

For example, humans - years ago I thought I'd heard 51% of births were female.

Does anyone now the % gender mix for chickens ?

I would have to say that the chick in the first and second photo is a female and all the rest are males. Since these are Poulet de Bresse it is not unusual to see such thick legs in both sexes. By the way, these are amazing meat birds and very delicious! good luck
