Talk to the person and ask how their fertility has been, folks like @wrathsfarm and myself keep track of these things (even with people who have purchased hatching eggs when possible) so we know what we're working with. 6 eggs should be a good start for a first time broody if fertility is high.
Yes I try to keep in contact with those that purchase eggs from me when I can. There's some that send me pics of their birds and first eggs, and others that only message if they have issues or questions like gender. Some I may not hear from ever again or until Spring if they want more eggs, but I keep their numbers saved.
Your girl that's low on the pecking order? I've had to separate some especially if they're in a favorite box. Too much bullying leads to busted eggs.

I have Angels nest box that's sitting on Solos eggs blocked off with HC as she'll get bullied out of the nest. All the brooders were occupied or I would have moved her already. So once a day I let her out, and block off her eggs until she returns. She broke one egg herself within the first 2 days so I replaced it and all 11 are still intact so far.

She doesn't really get bullied- just pecked away if she tried to get treats.

I've been observing and no one goes near her when she's acting crazy broody. She also picked a box in the corner. It's not a favorite. I just checked the camera and others are coming to lay their eggs and completely ignoring her.

I'm picking the eggs up tomorrow. Going to get 12 (just in case I have another broody since it appears to be contagious) but I'll only stick a few under her to see how many she can cover. I'm sure I'll have a million questions for y'all.

How eggciting! Who needs peer pressure when you've got broodies 🤣

Do you have an incubator? I would incubate the other 6...that way even if it takes a week to get a broody, giving her the chicks a week early is fine. And then of course, if eggs do get broke you've got backups and either way chicks you can shove under her when they hatch. No integrating or raising yourself.

Negative...no incubator
