Percentages are only over a large population - not one hatch. I had a broody hatch 5 eggs. 4 were roosters. Argh!

I was just wondering how many turned out to be roos and if there was a noticable difference in their tail length.

I have just hatched 5 Bresse and one is most definitely a boy. he is bigger and has a slight colour to his comb and his wattles are starting to show (he's 3 1/2 weeks).

But i had noticed that he and 2 others have long tails and 2 have short and wondered if that was an indicator you had noticed.

the other 4 are all smaller and combs and wattles aren't telling me much yet.
