Hello, I just want to make sure I'm right with my silkies genders. They are three months old now. Any help is appreciated!! Thanks!

This one has skinny legs, no wattles, and a tiny single comb. I'm thinking female.

several of the ones you have labeled as pullets have what appears to be streamers and i would guess cockerels on them. silkies are not sexed like other breeds....

Could you please show me the ones that are most likely males?

I just judged the photos using "streamers" only.

Oh, I judged the combs, wattles, and legs of the birds. Would you like me to take more pictures of them?

Like hdowden said, with Silkies it's not that accurate to go by combs, wattles, or legs. The most accurate method is from the "streamers"... hdowden wrote a BYC article on it [IMG] Check for "wild" hair on the boys, with long strands that stick out. With pullets, look for tame, round "afros." That's the method that works for me. If the above photos accurately show their head feathers, then I'm standing by those guesses. I'm really interested to see how your birds turn out!
