Am I the only one who gets REALLY annoyed with breed names...???

What drives me nuts is when I'm given wrong info when I'm seeking truth.

If you crossed a Delaware and a Wellsummer, what would you get?

I say a Wellaware, but Buffy says it would be a Summerware, and would be TOTALLY out after Labor Day.

Exactly! How are we supposed to learn if "teaching" resources (like the publication from the Cooperative Extension) give us incorrect information? Or breeders selling chicks as one breed when they are clearly not that breed...it's just not right. If it happened with any other product people would probably be pretty annoyed...like if you bought a new TV and the sales person told you it was an HD but it wasn't.

I don't know. I guess I'm just weird that way. I expect educators to teach correct information, especially when it's information that actually has a right and wrong vs being an opinion. And I expect people who sell a product to know at least a little about what they're selling.

A Delasummer.

But that is not funny at all. Nor does it imply chickens in flip flops.

Exactly. It sounds serious and dignified, just like the new breed would be. *Needs a solemn smiley*
