I get up fix breakfast and send off the hubby to work, get the girls out of coop, sit down with coffee to lurk around BYC, and boom! Wake up an hour later with head on desk!

What's up with me? I eat...30 minutes later, I'm asleep. I sit still in one spot for more than 10 minutes, I'm out. Haven't heard an entire sermon at church in years.

Doesn't seem to matter w or without caffienne or how large or small the meal. I just konk out. Tried going for a walk after meals, but just find myself wandering round the property in a fuzzy daze. If I start a project, I get going and have to sit down and rethink it a couple times cause my brain gets foggy. Am I the only one?

Please don't tell me to take vitamins...they give me leg and foot cramps. And it's NOT old-timers disease...or maybe it is...I did pass that half century mark...

Please won't someone tell me they do the same thing?

Ever get checked for narcolepsy?

I can't get cozy and read a book on the couch anymore... instantaneously asleep!

When you are looking at your monitor are you looking slightly down, exactly level, or slightly up?

If it's slightly down then raise the height of your monitor until you are looking at least straight across. You want your chin up.

I like that one. Sounds Exactly right!!!

Narcolepsy, I don't think so. Those people don't feel it coming. I do have to watch my driving though. If I am on the road more that 15 minutes, I have to suck on hard candy or sing. That seems to keep me awake. Maybe it is a Numb Nerve...attached to my jawbone...closed mouth = closed eyes.

If you're past 50, your melatonin level may be low. I started taking a melatonin supplement and stopped falling asleep in the daytime. It's super cheap. Do split the tiny pills in half or smaller. An overdose can cause a headache.

Definately try melatonin. I get a spray formula from Dr. Mercola's website but I'm sure any would work. I sleep great and have so much more energy during the day now. That is the only change I have made and it has made a world of difference in my life. I have always taken vitamins each day.

I had heard something about the Melatonin. I will have to get some. Sure couldn't hurt. Doesn't that cause your skin to get dark? That would be a nice side-effect...natural tan!
