my pair of pekin ducks have 13 eggs. she lays every day. will she set on them? has anyone out there had any pekin hen set and hatch her eggs?

I've got a girl setting now.
Hoping for a hatch any day now.




She started with 11 or 12. She's removed 3 that I know of from the nest, and sadly we lost 1 this morning.
I just now counted 6 left.


So yes, to answer your question a Pekin hen can and will go broody.
She's done a wonderful job so far and I really think if we get a successful hatch that she'll be a good momma.
