amaranth seeds

My goal is to feed whole grain diet but for now i am making a good whole grain scratch including a variety of grains, seeds, and beans.
My birds will eat everything except the amaranth seeds. They are tiny seeds, not cheap.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes, they are too small. Sprout them instead.

I have found the same with Teff seeds.

I will try feeding them to juniors and see what happens.
