Amelia is broody again!

I’m also planning to update on Enola since she’s the first chick Amelia raised!

Amelia ate one of her eggs yesterday! I was pretty upset and worried about the other eggs. I did however candle the eggs the day before she ate one and that one didn’t look like it was alive or even started developing and she hasn’t eaten another one. Do you know why she ate it?

My best guess is she stepped on it and broke it by accident. Even hens who aren't egg eaters will eat one that is already broken.

Ok that’s good to know! Hopefully that egg was indeed just a normal egg with no baby chick.

Amelia’s chicks are due to hatch Sunday! I can’t wait! I’m not sure when Enola’s two eggs are due to hatch because I didn’t keep track While Amelia was having a dust bath I noticed she had a little friend hanging out next to her! This little baby bunny was raised in my pot of mint along with two others!

Chicks must be coming soon! Amelia skipped her daily dust bath and was very anxious to get back on her nest.
