To me, purple screams cockerel but the others are hard to tell. I find head on shots of pea combs easier to judge. I found a pic of our 5-6 week old blue Ameraucana, which were all pullets. Also a pic of an approx 6 week old black Ameraucana cockerel. Our blue Ameraucana are also very stand-offish with people, even as hens.
I think Ameraucanas can be hard, more difficult than EEs. If they were my birds, I’d wait a bit. I thought that one of my pullets could maybe be a cockerel at that age, but she’s not,.. You might need to wait for cockerel feathering or the famous “crow or egg”!First two are sage. Second two are blue.

Would love to hear when you know for sure, so we can Monday morning Quarterback! For sure. Sage and blue I’m hoping are both pullets. My EE chicks I was certain one was a rooster and it ended up being my hen lol.
I’ll give it time but I’m really hoping to keep two of them. At ten weeks I was thinking the comb would be way larger and bright red if they were roosters. I’m going to hold out and keep hoping. Thanks for your input!![]()
Blue is your (maybe) girl.Okay here are the three. What do you think, any pullets?
I put a name on the photo and colour coded dots so I know which one is which lol.
