Those green legs say he's an EE with no doubts. That and he doesn't match any breed standard for an Ameraucana.

Thanks y'all. My original goal was to breed Ameraucanas, and purchased what were sold to me as Ameraucanas, with dark slate legs. But many of the offspring from those birds have the green legs. I'll just list the chicks as Easter Eggers- who wouldn't want a gorgeous EE?

Tip.....true ameraucana will be sold by specific color type.....because a breeder of true ameraucana will breed and sell them as such.

Agreed. A very handsome Easter Egger. I'd describe his color as close to Blue Wheaton but it's not a perfect representation of that color pattern.

I wouldn't say so, but its the biggest way to tell an ameraucana from an EE. I believe 'willow' legs are permitted on some of the colors of araucana, for instance.
