Has she started laying yet? I have two Easter eggers that looks very similar. One lays a very blue green egg and the other a mint green egg. One has a straight comb and yellow legs the other a straight comb and green legs. My muffed pea combed EE has green legs and lays the exact same very blue green eggs as the first EE I mentioned. You never know what color they will lay until you get your first egg.
It should not be surprising that new chicken owners are confused by EE?Ameraucana controversy.
If you buy chicks online EE are sold as Ameraucanas in many hatcheries. Feed stores; the same. Most newbies buy the chicks for blue/green eggs. Ameraucanas and EE lay similar eggs. Most have muffs and beards. It does not help when stores and online hatcheries market their EE as Ameraucanas. To add to the confusion, you may actually buy a purebred Ameraucana but the color is not SOP. Now you have an EE even though it is genetically an Ameraucana.

I try to be patient with people who ask me the same question. After all, I was in their shoes not long ago.
There are now many breeds that lay blue/green eggs like Legbars, Isbars and add in the recent SBEL among others.
To me, if it lays a colored egg, and it is not a purebred bought from a reliable, honest breeder, I call it an EE, no matter if it has muffs, a beard, dark legs and a pea comb or not. Blue/green eggs are great, no matter what breed (mutt) lays them.
LOVE those colored eggs!
