ameracauna or EE? pullet or cockeral?

It was sold to me as an ameracauna pullet, but i'm starting to wonder... it's around 3 or 4 months.

It's an EE and it has a single comb where's it should have a pea comb, it's possible it won't lay green/blue/pink, instead brown eggs because of single comb and also because it looks like it could be a cockerel!

Not a ameracauna they have pea combs, where as yours has a straight comb

Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking. The comb is so red it makes me think cockerel.

He looks like a cockerel to me too - and since he was sold as an Ameraucana you were already mislead by the source, so I would take the bird back and find a new place to do business.

Yeah, you're right. My kids are going to be disappointed, s/he is a sweet bird!

Agree he's a cockerel. Take him back and look for a pullet.
