Ameracauna Question

Guess like I don't have a true ameraucano. Well who cares? I love my birds:}

I have both, and absolutely adore both breeds. My EE's are excellent egg layers and very sweet girls. Sounds like yours are just lovely also.

I have a question. What happens if you breed EE with pure Ameraucanas? Will some come out solid colors like the apa standard?

Nope. The colors won't breed true and you'll have birds that don't meet the standard. I understand it's tricky enough breeding true bird to true bird, even then sometimes they have crop-outs.

I just picked up a wheaten rooster to breed with my black hens. Would still like to find a white, blue wheaten , and a splash if anyone has any for sale. Chicks or eggs..

She just layed a small blue egg with white spots yesterday!!
