One of our hens went broody about a month ago and we felt bad that we didn't have a rooster to fertilize some eggs of hers, so we went to a friend's farm and picked up 5 eggs; 2 white, 2 blue, one dark brown.
As far as I can remember, the two blue eggs hatched and one white egg (just a guess). We had 2 gray chicks with light brown on their faces and feather-legged, and one brown one with dark stripes.
Unfortunately, one of the gray ones didn't make it past the first night, but the other two are doing quite well.
The friends we got the eggs from said they assume the gray one is an Ameracauna x Buff Cochin mix. Any idea of what that may look like as an 'adult'? And what breed might the brown one be?
