I have three EE (hatchery birds). One lays a light green egg that is blue some days. I got a nice bright blue egg from here yesterday. One of the others lays a green egg. The third one lays an olive green egg. I plan to get three more EE this spring (hatchery stock again). I would like to get a true Ameraucana or two someday but it probably won't be this year unless I come across someone local that will have some chicks available in early April..
Nice eggs! A good way to take pictures of the eggs are by standing further back and then zooming in to the eggs and that way you won't get the flash and overexposure.
Here's some of my eggs - a couple of green ones from the EEs and the nice blue ones from the ameraucanas
My BBS Ameraucanas and my EEs are really good layers. They did take a good long break over part of the winter, but when they are in production, even when others don't lay on any given day, there will be those pretty blue and green eggs lined up on the counter.
That last one was sort of an accident, I think, not the usual color, LOL.
