I got this Ameraucana Chick as a rescue, it had curled toes and couldn't stand or walk. Probably hatchery Easter Egger more like it. Was bought as a sexed Pullet. But now I'm really wondering. I only have Easter Eggers not true Ameraucana's so I don't know if this is normal with a purebred.

Chick is about 6 weeks old. The comb is still pale, but is kind of bumpy. Not the 4 rows like in an EE Roo, just kind of bumpy. Also starting to get darker copper feathers, but this is through out the whole body, just not on the shoulders. I know in EE's that would scream Roo. I'm hoping to give this chick to my neighbor, and she was totally excited to get her, but now I'm not thinking she will be getting her, since we can't have Roos.

Even with the dark copper feathers coming in? I just would hate to have her buy her from me since she said she would pay me for what I bought her for and then extra for all the feed and stuff, and have her turn into a roo.

It's a common female pattern. The copper feathers coming in, could indicate rooster if they are growing in, in patchy patterns on the shoulders. Usually they don't grow in though until after the chick is feathered out.

if it is a pullet, she'll look like this ^
I would wait a couple weeks, until the chick is feathered. It's a lot easier to tell then, but I don't see anything so far the screams male.

YEAH! I just have EEs and if they get that copper coming in they are always Roos, so I was just afraid that she was a Roo. I will be so happy for her to stay a girl. Then I get to see her everyday. :D Wish I could keep her, but I have way too many on my Chicken Math chart right now.

Same here. One of my Ameraucana hens looks a lot like this one. Beautiful hen. Very flighty though. And so smart she makes me mad.

You have EEs, then. Ameraucanas don't come in that color pattern.
sorry but i'm positive she's an ameraucana. They come in alot of different patterns and mine came in that one.
