Do your Ameraucana and EE roos all have those 'wispy' feathers on their tails?? I have 2 Ameraucana (30 weeks old) and 2 EE (26 weeks old) pullets. None of them have those 'wispy' tail feathers, they all have tiny pea combs, they all chatter, none of them have crowed... but I have gotten NO eggs either..

So, what does your roo's tail look like...

Here's one with a common tail.

Thank you! That's what I call the 'wispy' tail feathers! My girls all have what I would call little 'chiseled' tails.. longer on the top smaller on the bottom, held out at about a 45* angle or less!

Many of my Easter Eggers and Ameraucana's came from a breeder that told me most of his flock don't lay until around 8 months-they are slower than most others..rest of my spring pullets are 27 weeks and my brown layers just began last week-2 of them still waiting on about 8-10 brown and fun colored to start and I know there are no roosters in there

Mahroni, look at that hunky of a rooster! I wish he didnt have the buff showing thru his wing feathers but other than that, he is beautiful!
