In the Brooder
My Ameraucana has seemed to be eggbound since yesterday, but also has other symptoms. She sits with her tail faced downwardsin a squat, like she's trying to push it out all the time. Her poop is lime green and small. Since she is eggbound, I think that might be why her poops are small, but also her crop is really full.
She keeps moving her head around in circles and acting like she's chocking but then is fine a few minutes later. She also keeps opening her beak and breathing through her mouth instead of her nostrils. Finally, since yesterday, her comb has gone from bright red to pale pale pink/white in color.
Any idea what's wrong with her and what to do? I've been giving her epsom salt baths and electrolyte water, but that hasn't done much so far (she won't eat either).
What do I do to fix an eggbound chicken? How do I get the egg out?
