Ameraucana Eggs

Hi everyone,
I have two brown red Ameraucana hens that should be starting to lay soon, and when i purchased them from Hoover's Hatchery, I found them under the Easter Egger category, so I was under the impression that they would be laying blue, green, or pink eggs. But I recently saw that Ameraucanas should not be mistaken for Araucanas... and that Araucanas are the ones that lay blue or green eggs. Could someone please tell me what color eggs me brown red ameraucanas should be laying?

If your hen has a tail it isn't an araucana. Easter eggers lay pink,green or blue. Ameraucunas just lay blue. Alot of times easter eggers are sold as ameraucanas so a picture would help if you can.

Hoover's Hatchery doesn't have real Ameraucanas, they sell Easter Eggers that they wrongly say are the same thing. Ameraucanas lay blue eggs. Your EEs might lay blue, green, brown, white, etc. With EEs it's always a fun surprise!
